The Cinderella Complex – Waiting For Mr. Write : Women Writers, Women’s Books

Here’s a great article by Evie Gaughan on not putting off writing just because it’s not ‘good enough’ yet. It’s obvious that the only way to improve as a writer is to WRITE more. Maybe it’s time to stop thinking and worrying so much and just do?

  1. Like any craft, it needs to be learned, practiced, practiced, and practiced some more. No one gets to be a concert pianist without years of practice, or a dancer without same, or a tennis player, or any craft, really. Writing is no different in that we need to write to become better writers, then need to write some more. If you don’t love it, don’t do it, but you can’t expect to get any good at it without writing. A lot. 🙂
